Downtown Traverse City Announces Traverse City Restaurant Week

Downtown Traverse City has announced that the annual Traverse City Restaurant Week will be happening from February 23 to 29 this year. During the event, three-course menus will be $25 or $35 per person, giving customers the chance to experience the full range of Traverse City’s dining culture.

Now on its tenth year, the Traverse City Restaurant Week will feature a record 40 participating restaurants, all of which are ready to serve various culinary delights at an even more affordable price. Reservations are strongly encouraged, as this event brings in many people throughout its duration.

Right now the 2020 participating restaurants are being finalized, with menus to be made available soon.

In the $25 price point, the following restaurants have already signed on to participate: 7 Monks Taproom, North Peak Brewing Co., Raduno, Red Mesa Grill, Harrington’s By The Bay, Hopscotch Brick Oven and Taproom, Jolly Pumpkin, McGee’s 72, Smoke & Porter Public House, Sorellina, and McGee’s 31.

In the $35 price point are the following restaurants: Fustini’s Oils & Vinegars, Apache Trout Grill, The Boathouse Restaurant, Bourbons 72, Burritt’s Fresh Markets, Firefly, Forrest A Food Studio, Patisserie Amie, Aerie Restaurant, Red Ginger, Reflect Bistro, Cambria Hotel & Suites, Slate, and The Good Bowl.

The following restaurants are participating in this year’s Traverse City Restaurant Week, but have not yet confirmed their price point for the event: Amical, Blue Tractor Cook Shop, Mammoth Distilling, Minervas, Rare Bird Brewpub, Peninsula Grill, Pepe Nero, Poppycock’s, Taproot Cider House, TC BBQ & Grind, The Cooks’ House, The Franklin, The Towne Plaza, Trattoria Stella, Warehouse Kitchen + Cork @ Hotel Indigo, and the West End Tavern.

Traverse City Restaurant Week is sponsored by the following: Great Lakes Wines & Spirits, The Rock Station…Z93, Hotel Indigo Traverse City, and 107.5 WCCW-FM.

Traverse City Restaurant Week is a busy time for downtown Traverse City. Crowds are expected as diners rush in to try all the culinary offerings of these Traverse City Restaurants.

“This is the tenth year. It’s been recognized throughout the state that this is the place to go in February,” said Jean Derenzy, CEO of Traverse City’s Downtown Development Authority.

Some participating restaurants chose to take part even though the $35 level point is lower than their standard price point. “It’s a better price point” for customers, said Doug Kosch, owner of The Boathouse. “We maintain the same standard. The goal is to get as many people through the door and hope they have a great experience.”

A few of the participating establishments are even outside of the typical restaurant profile such as Rare Bird, 7 Monks, Mammoth Distilling and Fustini’s Oils and Vinegars. Of course, they wouldn’t want to miss out on the opportunity to attract significant crowds for the entire week.
